Our 2025-2026 Season

We hope you can join us for our women-powered 2025-2026 season.

Our January concerts will feature music exclusively written by female composers. The centerpiece work will be a piece called Everyday Wonders: The Girl from Aleppo by Cecilia McDowall. This piece describes the stunning 16 month journey of Nujeen Mustafa, a Kurdish teenager with cerebral palsy. She was seeking asylum from Syria and made her way from Aleppo through 8 countries, finally arriving in Germany, pushed in her wheelchair by her older sister Nasrine. Our Spring concert will feature a piece called Washington Women, a choral song cycle by David Chase and Judith Clurman. This cycle is a collection of iconic texts taken from speeches, opinions, and interviews of 16 remarkable women from across the political spectrum, all of whom spent part of their lives associated with Washington DC. Condoleezza Rice, Eleanor Roosevelt, Margaret Chase Smith, Hillary Rodham Clinton, Sandra Day O’Connor, Madeleine Albright, Michelle Obama, and many others!

Stay tuned for dates and location!
