Our featured soloist is local soprano Rachelle Elbert. Santa Fe audiences might have recently seen her brilliant and heart-warming portrayal of Jo in the production of Little Women by TriM Millenial Music Makers.
Rachelle is a classically trained singer with a BFA in Musical Theater and a passion for storytelling through song. She’s lit up stages in roles such as Jo March (Little Women), Millie Dillmount (Thoroughly Modern Millie), Hope Harcourt (Anything Goes), Mary Jane Wilkes (Big River), Zaneeta Shinn (The Music Man), Potiphar’s Wife (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat), and as the Clara understudy in The Light in the Piazza. While studying at Brigham Young University, Rachelle performed with the esteemed Concert Choir under the direction of Rosalind Hall and toured internationally with the Young Ambassadors under the direction of Randy Boothe. She has performed at the Hale Center Theater, Sunset Playhouse, and the Lensic. She currently sings with the Santa Fe Symphony Chorus and local productions put on by Tri-M.
